Daddy’s HOME

After 7 long months he ( my wonderful hubby) is FINALLY home! He arrived last week and we have been enjoying our time with him. My kids were beyond excited to see him. The kids and I were up at midnight to get ready and be to the pick up station by 3a.m. After waiting there for an hour and a half we got news it would still be another 2 1/2 hours before the buses arrived with our heroes!

We saw the motorcycles bringing up the front and shorty after we saw our heroes marching in. All the kids were jumping with excitement, the spouses with butterflies in their stomachs as all these men and women marched past. Each spouse searching in the sea of soldiers for their loved one. Everything stops and is at a stand still….. “DISMISSED” shouted the Captain! The soldiers and the families just ran through the crowds to find their husband, father, mother, wife, and friends. Tears were rolling, smiles were abundant, laughter was heard! Fathers were able to meet their new babies that were born while defending our country. It is such a surreal moment when you finally see the one you have longed for, for 7 months.

We are so blessed that our loved one came home safe to us!

P.S. Excuse the poor quality photos, we had to shoot with a little, dumb point and shoot digital camera!

Misty - I’m so happy for you guys!!!

Kirsty-Abu Dhabi - Kristi, you are a hero too – I don’t know how you do it – with the kids, a new baby and with hubby away – it brings a tear to me to think of being away from my hubby for so long – enjoy your sweet reunion, xxxx

Nannette - I can’t believe how happy they all look after a crazy long flight like they just got off of. Congrats, and we are so glad Dallas is home safe and sound!!!
