Day 29 •• Okinawa Photographer •• Photo-A-Day Challenge

Today was a lazy Sunday. I had all intentions of doing the little laundry I have and then going to the Naha Tug of War. Well I chickened out on going to the Tug of War. I just couldn’t picture my very pregnant body, stringing along 3 small children to a very crowded event with over 300,000 spectators attending. I imagined one of my kids getting lost in the crowd, or someone accidentally pushing me and my water breaking. Leaving me to TRY to find a cab to take me to the hospital that is at least 30 minutes away, as I end up having this baby in the back of the cab with 3 children there watching. Not my idea of a fun time. I really should have gone since this is my last year here, but those thoughts very much deterred me from going. I didn’t get my laundry done either. I did however accomplish the joys of watching my children enjoy the beautiful day outside. I enjoyed the beautiful flowers outside. I wanted to mess with my Macro Lens more because I need to learn how to use it better. It was a nice cool day, not sunny, but not too cloudy, just perfect. As I lay on the ground trying to photograph these small flowers, I’m so loudly interrupted by one of the cutest 2 year olds. She stole every flower I tried to take a photo of. It was quite funny, for a minute. I was finally able to distract her so I could take a few photos. I’m still working on the Macro shots, but I did get a beautiful photo of some Jasmine flowers that reminded me of a beautiful flowing, beach wedding with white sand. Enjoy the beauty of the world, the laughter of your children and the blessings in your life.

Yvonne - SO pretty!
